Raising Awareness of Gun Violence
Educate. Expose. Connect.
We Can't Do It Without You
Dear Friends,
One year, six months, four days ago our family, our friends, our community mourned the loss of Trevarland Smith, at the age of 34. A life gone to soon due to gun violence on June 22nd, 2018. We will continue to mourn but he will forever remain in our hearts.
While our lives have been forever changed, we are learning to transfer our grief into action to bring AWARENESS to end gun violence. The movement to raise gun violence awareness is very important and we all play a vital role in raising awareness to end gun violence.
TREVARLAND FOUNDATION
AWARENESS | COMMUNITY | OUTDOORS
Today, we’re launching TREVARLAND FOUNDATION with a focus to bring AWARENESS to gun violence, help to build COMMUNITY and promoting the OUTDOORS. For our first initiative in 2020, we are partnering with the Wabbaseka Community to re-establish the computer lab, housed in the Community Center, to provide an alternative and safe means to keep youth off the streets, deter violence, and support overall community engagement.

In 2018, there were 39,773 deaths due to gun violence
In 2019, there were 37,740 deaths due to gun violence
In 2020, help us to reach our goal to raise $2,000 by January 8th. If we raise that amount, we’ll be able to update computers, software, and furnishings that will build confidence and promote a safe environment for learning and having fun. We are building community. We need your help to make it happen.
